A course dedicated to future managers of the health system
6 July 2020 - The last week the first edition of the Specialization Course in Healthcare Management organized byUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma in agreement with the Lazio Region.
The Course has exceeded the envisaged number of enrollments and an expansion of the available places has been requested from the Region, demonstrating the educational value of the project and the work carried out by the Scientific Direction in the realization of the educational offer.
The first modules of the course (which coincide with the summer period) will be delivered in e-learning mode to continue to guarantee the health of participants and teachers. From September, on the other hand, lessons will return to the classroom, always guaranteeing the safety of all the people involved, in accordance with the University plan, which provides for a return to the usual classroom activities immediately after the end of the summer. An important choice that aims to once again enhance the personal relationship between teachers and students (both in degree and postgraduate courses), which has always been central to the study experience offered by our University.
The Specialization Course will be divided into a didactic part common to all participants and a second part in which the individual learner (based on his or her characteristics and profession) will be able to choose a "Clinical-welfare" path or an "Administrative" path.
"It is a course intended for future managers of the health system, articulated with classic themes (such as ethics, risk management and personnel management), innovative themes (such as the management of health emergencies and pandemics) and themes that look at the great social change -healthcare and the challenges that the NHS will have to respond to with technology, readiness but, above all, with new managerial figures”, explained Prof. Minotti, Scientific Director.
In this regard, the thought of Dr. Flori Degrassi, Director General of ASL Roma 2 is also interesting, according to which "training for health managers is very important as the human factor is still decisive in certain top sectors, where the resource can never be replaced by the machine".
