UCBM Among the European Excellence Selected by Virtual Routes with support from Google.org for Cybersecurity skilling initiative

THEUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma is one of the universities selected by Virtual Routes to receive funding from the Google.org Cybersecurity Seminars program, reserved for the best European universities, with a project dedicated to training young talents in cybersecurity.

The project, led by the Prof. Roberto Setola, Director of the Master in Cybersecurity Management, and coordinated by theUCBM Academy, aims to develop advanced skills in the field of cybersecurity. It is aimed at 75 young students, who will have access to a comprehensive training program characterized by a hands-on learning approach and scholarships that fully cover the costs of the program. In addition to technical training, the initiative includes mentoring e Internship opportunities at corporate partners, fostering an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

A program of excellence for innovation and safety

Designed to meet the growing needs of cybersecurity, the training program will include updates on emerging technologies and community engagement activities. Led by Prof. Luca Faramondi and taking advantage of the experience gained during the Master's Degree in Intelligent Systems, the project guarantees practical training oriented towards professional development.

The practical activities will take place at the Cyber ​​Shot Lab, a joint laboratory between UCBM e Cyber ​​4.0 (the Competence Center of the Ministry for Innovation and Made in Italy), which allows students to work on test infrastructures that reproduce real scenarios.

Furthermore, the project aims to strengthen synergies between participating companies and the university through the implementation of a study on cyber attacks that affect companies. This study will culminate in the publication of an annual report that will analyze trends in cyber threats.
