The Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma gets a makeover on the web. Was officially inauguratedin fact, the new Internet 2.0 portal, which totally renews and modifies the characteristics of the previous site. Equipped now with over 1500 navigable pages - double those previously available - inserted in 50 complex sections, the new unicampus.it has been enriched with more than 2 thousand images including photos, drawings and video clips presenting the various areas of the university.
It is a tool designed and studied to best present the facilities and services offered within the university campus, but also to keep users updated on the educational offer, admissions, fields and novelties of the experimental studies carried out within the Research Pole, as well as on teaching and extra-curricular activities, human resources and offices present. The newly launched portal is directly interconnected to the website of the University Hospital, which is an integral part of the structures of the Campus Bio-Medico of Rome.
The result of a year of work, it was developed in the Joomla 3.2 programming language to facilitate updating simplicity and maximum functionality. It is designed to automatically adapt to the browsers of all of today's most popular navigation devices, including those of the latest tablets and smartphones. Access to the pages of interest is guaranteed both through a 'traditional' and logical navigation method and through 'lateral' and emotional links, to favor their use as intuitive and spontaneous as possible. Made easier, in this sense, by the presence of different colors according to the different topicsie macro-areas and integration with the most popular social networks.
