Rome, 13 October 2014 - The Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and the Alberto Sordi Foundation for the Elderly express deep condolences for the passing of Aurelia Sordi, who always loved to be informed about the activities carried out in favor of the elderly of the Fragile Elderly Center established in 1992 in Trigoria on the initiative of her brother Alberto. The Centre, located in the facilities of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, has for years now been a point of reference for numerous elderly people, reported by the social services of the Municipality of Rome, who every day have the opportunity, through activities led by volunteers, to keep alive their practical and intellectual faculties, social relationships and cultural interests.

In this moment of mourning, precisely in respect of the memory of Aurelia and Alberto, theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and the Alberto Sordi Foundation for the Elderly, cannot fail to point out that they are not aware of any fact relating to the legacy of the Sordi family nor has the Alberto Sordi Foundation for the Elderly been involved in the judicial news events of recent years.

Commissioned by Albertone for qualified assistance to the elderly, since then the Foundation has carried out its mandate, with economic autonomy, above all thanks to the help of numerous volunteers and benefactors, and has maintained over the years a sincere friendship with the sister Aurelia, who visited the Elderly Health Center of Trigoria for the last time in 2008, on the occasion of the inauguration of a plaque dedicated to the memory of her brother.
