Among the initiatives ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma: closed-door thesis with live streaming and widespread education campaign on good prevention practices

 

Rome, 26 February 2020 - THEUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma has established a Task Force to manage, by virtue of the principle of maximum precaution, the Coronavirus phenomenon with the aim of activating all useful actions to guarantee the safety and defend the health of the university community: the students and their families, the employees, the teaching staff, collaborators and their families. All interventions last indefinitely until the complete cessation of the contingent situation.

Given that everyone must refer to the guidelines of the WHO and the Ministry of Health and to all the indications provided by the responsible institutions, UCBM has implemented a series of additional actions with a view to preventing Covid-19, the main prevention and safety actions have already been activated:

Thesis and PhD discussions behind closed doors

The graduation and doctoral discussions will take place behind closed doors in the presence of the candidate and the internal graduation commission only with the possible online presence of external speakers.  

To allow families to follow the discussion, it will be streamed on a dedicated channel.

Selection of candidates for masters and post-graduate courses electronically

The intense post-graduate training activity involving professionals from Italy and abroad will continue regularly, adapting its initiatives to facilitate the involvement of candidates also through online procedures. Distance learning will also be enhanced for all those activities that do not strictly require classroom presence.

 

Help desk emails 

An internal email has been activated dedicated to all requests from students within the organization regarding questions relating to the management of Covid-19 in UCBM. 

Widespread dissemination of good prevention practices from the Coronavirus

Diffusion to all people, who for various reasons, orbit around UCBM of the good practices indicated by the international, national and regional authorities, in order to contribute to the adoption of the same and to the virtuous diffusion on the territory of health education and daily prevention.

THEUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and its University Hospital - JCI certified for compliance with over three hundred quality and safety parameters - have always contributed to health and prevention education. The communication campaign conceived and produced by began last December UCBM #manichecurano on the correct daily habits to avoid the spread of infections (download the materials).

Correct use of protective devices

In addition to reminding everyone of the extreme importance of hand hygiene and the correct and constant use of the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment An awareness campaign is underway on the correct prevention actions from Covid19 through the internet, social networks and internal communication.
