Five universities have joined the event together with the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome: Sapienza University of Rome, which hosts the event, Roma Tre University, Milan Polytechnic, Iuav University of Venice and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Also available to visitors will be hundreds of workshops and seminars with the most important speakers in the sector, an area dedicated to children with more than 90 programming workshops, tours led by scientific entertainers and mini-labs, an aviary for drone exhibitions and finally a Maker Music area, specifically dedicated to musical experimentation, and a Food & Agriculture area, with over 40 exhibitors.

9 October 2015 - There will also beUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma at Maker Faire Rome-European Edition, the largest European innovation fair scheduled from 16 to 18 October at the "Sapienza" University. An event whose absolute protagonists will be inventions and discoveries, technology and ingengineering and in which the University will be present with its own exhibition stand.

A prototype of exoskeleton in grado to make people who have lost the use of their legs walk; there robotic hand integrated with the nervous system human; but also a  work touchless which allows for monitoring the manipulate diagnostic images in the operating room simply by moving your hands in space, a prototype of neonatal pulmonary respirator it's still, un device laptop capable of recognize the quality of food products in common use such as oil, mozzarella, cheeses, ham or fish, to unmask any counterfeiting and fraud. These are the inventions thatUCBM will show visitors within an area of ​​over 100 square meters: more than 15 dedicated to exhibition spaces, over 600 stands and around 700 inventions on display, selected from over 1300 projects from all over the world.

In fact, the University has joined the initiative with research projects of highly innovative and experimental content, to which however university students have offered their contribution, for some parts, with their degree theses. Among the most curious objects on display at the Campus Bio-Medico stand in Rome there will be the robots that participated in the races of speed and autonomous exploration of complex environments, organized at the end of the course in Biomechatronics and created by very young students of the University.
