Rome, 30 October 2017 – An increasingly close relationship with the regional health system. An increasingly strong presence in healthcare networks: with these results, the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital welcomed the president of the Lazio Region Nicola Zingaretti who visited the Trigoria facility and inaugurated the new intensive care unit. A polyclinic that will further increase its healthcare offer in the coming years.
The visit was attended, among others, by the head of the Health Control Room of the Lazio Region Alessio D'Amato, the general director of Health Vincenzo Panella, the general manager of the ASL RM2 Flori Degrassi as well as the heads of the University and the Campus Bio-Medico Polyclinic.
The number of intensive care beds available at the Polyclinic therefore increased from 9 to 16. The new room, located on the first floor of the Polyclinic and equipped thanks to the significant contribution of the Rome Foundation, offers patients and operators the highest technological and safety standards and it is characterized by maximum flexibility in the use of space.
“The new Intensive Care is an important result for our polyclinic and allows us to increase the high complexity – he saidchiarato Felice Barela, President of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. I thank the Lazio Region and the Fondazione Roma: the latter has given an essential contribution to the opening of the new room by supporting the purchase of the equipment present”.
“The Policlinico Universitario Campus Bio-Medico of Rome, which has always made research one of its strong points - added Barela - it is an increasingly integrated reality in the territory, increasing its capacity to welcome patients. We are active in the regional health networks with numerous specialties and we are still growing. In the future we see a Polyclinic increasingly connected to the regional health system, increasingly present in the lives of citizens, with new services that we aim to open in the near future, such as the emergency room”.
And at the end of "Pink October", the month of breast cancer prevention, the president of the Lazio Region also unveiled a plaque at the entrance to the regional Breast Unit.
