AN EXPERIENTIAL AND IMMERSIVE WEEK WITH PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS, WORKSHOPS TO PLAN YOUR OWN STUDY PATH, LESSONS AND TESTS OPEN DAY SATURDAY 27 MAY IN ROME
Rome, 12 May 2023 - Summer is the best time to choose your future. From the 12 to the 16 June theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma (UCBM) organizes an unprecedented proposal in the panorama of Summer School universities to help young people discover their professional passion and consciously make the choice of their university path.
To decide on the right preparatory degree course for your future profession UCBM opens two new Summer Schools for inductive orientation: the first Italian Summer School dedicated to Medicine together with the new Summer School dedicated to STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering with a focus on the Biomedical, Intelligent Systems, Food and Nutrition, Sustainable Development and OneHealth sectors).
Thanks to a set of frontal teaching, experiential and laboratory activities, simulations of admission tests and orientation sessions for university study paths, 150 students of the third and fourth year of high school will be able, in a single week, to delve deeper into some scientific areas through immersive activities; take university classes; discover the world of scientific research experiencing the laboratories ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma; learn about student life of the university campus; to understand through tests the areas for improving preparation.
For participants in the Summer School of Medicine it will also be possible to simulate the admission tests valid for enrollment in the relevant three degree courses available at UCBM (“Medicine and Surgery” and the two courses in English of “Medicine and Surgery” and “MedTech”, which also allows a double degree in Medicine and Surgery e Biomedical Engineering) and get in touch with the methodologies and training courses of Cordua Srl, a national leader in preparing for the entrance exams for Medicine. In particular, those enrolled in the Summer School will be entitled to a 15% discount on registration in the near future for all courses offered by Cordua Srl.
To the students of the penultimate year of high school, the STEM Summer School offers the possibility of supporting, in advance, the test valid for early admission to the three first level degree courses in Industrial Engineeringin Food and Human Nutrition Sciences and Biomedical Engineering which open the doors to the five active master's degrees UCBM (https://www.unicampus.it/it/info/corsi-laurea-magistrale) in “Biomedical Engineering”, “Intelligent Systems Engineering”, “Chemical Engineering for Sustainable Development”, “Food Science and Human Nutrition”, “Food Science and Technology and Supply Chain Management”. The students of the third last year high school students will instead be able to simulate the admission tests, becoming aware of the areas where their preparation can be improved.
They will be offered to all members personalized advice and orientation support, in addition to the assistance of internal tutors chosen and selected by UCBM. And during the week, Economics and Law lessons will also be provided by university professors LUISS in order to also orient yourself on the further educational offerings of this Roman university.
The young people will spend their days interacting with teachers and researchers of the University and the University Polyclinic Foundation, located in the immediate vicinity of the university classrooms. All in the pristine environment of Decima Malafede Nature Reserve, where greenery naturally gives harmony and well-being. And in the evening, for those enrolled with the residential formula, space for moments of aggregation and relaxation organized by the University.
