New headquarters and new catalog for masters, specialization courses, CME and professional refresher courses that respond to the demands of the labor market on innovation, Big Data, green food and health
Rome, October 1 2021 – An advanced training center in a dedicated location a few steps from the University, with courses for professionals and businesses in line with the most urgent market demands. The educational offer of UCBM Academy, the service that includes the postgraduate courses of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, which has just been inaugurated, is focused both on the management of Big Data and cybersecurity and on health issues and those aimed at sustainable development. A new headquarters is dedicated to these activities, 300 meters from the University.
At the inauguration of the headquarters of UCBM Academy, in via Dina, 36 was attended by the President, Felice Barela, the magnificent Rector, Raffaele calabrò and the Director General of the university, Andrea Rossi.
The President, Felice, underlined the value of an ad hoc structure for courses dedicated to graduates Barela: "The birth of UCBM Academy corresponds to the will of the University - expressed in the 2021-2023 strategic plan - to develop and increasingly increase Third Mission activities, green, artificial intelligence and nutrition, as well as collaboration with companies".
At the same time, new areas of innovation and sustainability are being explored with the “Innovation and Sustainability” project designed to encourage the meeting between universities, research centers, startups and innovative companies, without neglecting the ethical dimension of technologies and the digital world. A wealth of values, the one thatUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma aims to offer, to train all-round professionals, prepared not only from a purely technical point of view. "UCBM Academy must be an opportunity to provide strong training also on a human, ethical and relational level - says the rector Raffaele calabrò – Our commitment is to ensure participants in-depth knowledge in the various disciplines, but also to transfer a style in the way we work and collaborate with others. A precious opportunity to leave a trace of value in society”.
He is the Director General of the University, Andrea Rossi, to explain the aspects related to training: "The birth of UCBM Academy coincides with the birth of a new headquarters entirely dedicated to all post-graduate activities that address the re-skilling and up-skilling needs that the transformation of the labor market and the economy is generating. We have had a significant response from companies”.
For the 2021/2022 academic year, the educational offer of the UCBM Academy is divided into: 16 Masters and Specialization Courses in the disciplinary fields of health, engineering and the environment, provided in phygital mode (integrating face-to-face and remote activities) and in a part-time formula; CME for professional updating for health personnel, also concerning Next Generation Medicine, personalized, sustainable and participatory new generation medicine; 6 executive courses and more than 20 short courses for entrepreneurs and company managers.
In addition to enhancing the offer of masters, specialization courses and CME in the health sector and on highly innovative thematic sectors, including safety and the circular economy, the launch of the executive Program is imminent, “flexible and experiential learning paths Rossella explains Ferrari, responsible of UCBM Academy - which can, on the one hand, enhance the skills of professionals and recent graduates, on the other, build specific professional profiles, especially on topics such as Big Data, IoT and digital transformation".
