Consultation and other requests
Loan
It is allowed only to internal users. All volumes can be requested except encyclopedias, dictionaries, bibliographic repertoires, material of particular historical value, periodicals, other types that the Library deems appropriate to exclude from lending. They can be collected up to 3 texts, for a maximum duration of 10 days. Textbooks can be borrowed in the evening and on holidays, as long as the volume is returned by 10.00 am of the following day.
Consultation
The bibliographic heritage ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma can be consulted through University catalogue. The monographs and periodicals present can be consulted on site from Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 20.45 and on Saturdays from 09.00 to 14.15. Registered users can book the loan or consult volumes even from home.
To search for periodicals, it is preferable to use the link to Italian Catalog of Periodicals, which only contains information relating to this type of resource owned by the University. Most of the current periodicals are accessible in digital version exclusively through the University computer network.
Conservation of theses
The Library offers an archiving and consultation service for doctoral theses, through the institutional archive IRIS, and abstracts and degree and specialization theses, through ALTEA.
PhD thesis: The theses are published in open access at the end of the career of the PhD students. To deposit the works in the archive IRIS refer to Doctoral thesis FAQ.
Graduation and specialization abstracts and theses: for consultation it is necessary to enter your credentials for access to the computer network:
- Username (preceded by your domain: unicampus\n.surname in the case of professors, researchers, doctoral students and staff UCBM; alcampus\name.surname in the case of students)

Bibliographic information and advice
The Library offers users an assistance and consultancy service for bibliographic searches.
Bibliometric service
It provides assistance to individual professors and researchers for the bibliometric analysis of their scientific production, particularly during ANVUR evaluations (VQR, ASN Accreditation). Every year, in collaboration with the Integrated Research Center (CIR), it prepares the Research Yearbook.
Document Delivery Service
To recover scientific articles not present in the University collections, the Library turns to other libraries (any costs required by the supplying libraries will be borne by the users). The service is available through the University computer network and the Internet. To access it, all users must fill in the appropriate online form, entering their credentials for use of the computer network:

Requesting articles from external libraries: Italian and foreign libraries can request copies of articles by e-mail, fax, telephone or using the appropriate form of the Network Inter-Library Document Exchange (NILDE). The service is free on the basis of mutual exchange. External users who wish to request an article from the Library ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma they must contact their reference library, which will send the request.

Photocopy service
For study purposes, within the terms established by current legislation (Law 248/2000), photocopying of the University assets is permitted, using the badge that can be recharged directly at the Library.
