PATH OF EXCELLENCE WITH SCHOLARSHIPS
Within the second registration window, according to the terms and conditions set out in Annex A, the selection of n. 1 (one) candidate is foreseen who will be admitted to the Excellence Path of the Degree Course in Biomedical Engineering, with the assignment to each of the selected candidates of a scholarship equal to 50% of the single university contribution for the entire three-year period of study, in the presence of the assignment and maintenance requirements set out in Annex A. The number of candidates potentially eligible for the Excellence Path within the second window may be increased following any failure to assign the benefit(s) set out in the previous window.
The Path of Excellence aims to enhance students according to merit criteria. Students admitted to the Path of Excellence will benefit from the support of a referent teacher and will dedicate themselves to additional and complementary training activities to those of the course of study. The set of training activities envisaged by the Path of Excellence, which may also be carried out in part abroad through the Erasmus Program, requires a minimum annual commitment for the student, in the first and second year of the course, of 4 CFU and does not give rise to the recognition of CFU that can be used to obtain university degrees issued by theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, but upon the release of a certificate of completion of the Course which will be recorded in the student's career in terms of extracurricular CFU which flow into the Diploma Supplement.
Selected students will benefit from:
- 50% exemption from the payment of the single university contribution for the three-year period;
- upon request, a 30-hour English language improvement course;
- activities also organized in collaboration with academic institutions or other international organizations.
The requirements and methods for assigning and maintaining these benefits in the academic years following the first are defined in Annex A, which is an integral part of this Procedure.

"PATH OF EXCELLENCE" SCHOLARSHIP
As part of the II Session, in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in Appendix A, one (1) candidate will be selected to be admitted to the Path of Excellence of the Biomedical Engineering Degree Program. The selected candidate will be awarded a scholarship equal to exemption to the payment of 50% of the tuition fee for the entire three-year program, provided they meet the award and maintenance requirements set out in Appendix A.
The Excellence Path aims to promote students based on merit. Students admitted to the Path of Excellence will benefit from the support of a supervisor and will engage in additional and complementary learning activities beyond those of the program. The set of educational activities included in the Excellence Program, which may be partially undertaken abroad through the Erasmus Program, requires a minimum annual commitment of 4 credits (CFU) for the first and second years of the program. This does not result in the recognition of credits that can be used toward university degrees awarded by the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome. However, it does result in the issuance of a certificate of completion of the Program, which will be recorded in the student's academic record as extracurricular credits that are included in the Diploma Supplement.
Selected students will benefit from:
- a 50% exemption from the single university fee for the three-year program;
- upon request, a 30-hour English language improvement course;
- activities organized in collaboration with academic institutions or other international organizations.
The requirements and procedures for awarding and maintaining these benefits in subsequent years are defined in Annex A, which is an integral part of this Procedure.
