The course is characterized by a strong reference to the training path developed by the World Health Organization and is integrated with further relevant topics for professionals involved in the management of clinical risk and the safety of care, combining management and organizational topics with insurance-type topics.
This is a valuable opportunity designed for those who wish to work in public and private structures in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and medical sectors.
Recipients and access requirements
The course is aimed at healthcare personnel who carry out or intend to carry out functions related to risk management and non-hospital professionals who operate in sectors connected to healthcare or who want to enter manufacturing companies (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biomedicals, etc. ), in regional regulatory institutes or in consultancy firms. This path is also suitable for those who want to deepen risk management as they relate to the healthcare world or are part of it.
The course is also aimed at those who, while operating outside the Healthcare Organizations, are interested in acquiring the knowledge and tools for clinical risk management: lawyers, insurers, brokers, pharmacists, engineers.
The course is aimed at those in possession of a Bachelor's degree.
The qualification must be possessed by the candidate admitted to attend the course no later than 90 days from the start of the same.
Educational objectives
It is a path that aims at the qualification of professionals who operate in the field of clinical risk management, quality and safety of care in public and private health and social-health facilities based on the provisions of Law 8 March 2017 n. 24.
The objective of the course is to train professionals on the topic of risk management in healthcare and provide the practical application tools necessary for starting and managing an integrated healthcare risk management program.
Didactic structure and thematic areas
The Higher Education course confers 15 university credits (CFU), equal to 375 hours of training activities, divided as follows:
- 10 CFU of face-to-face teaching activities, live streaming teaching and individual study;
- 5 CFU of elaboration of the final Project Work.
The course is structured in a total of 10 thematic areas divided into 2 macro-areas: Patient Safety, Health Care Law & Insurance.
Teaching methodology and organization
The course will last 4 months: October 2024 - January 2025.
Lessons will be held on the following days: Fridays from 9:00 am to 06:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 01:00 pm, for a total of 4 lessons per month.
The course is delivered in blended mode, 50% of the lessons will be held in presence and 50% of lessons remotely in live streaming.
Method of admission
The application for admission to the course must be submitted by 22 September 2024 using the online procedure and includes:
- filling in the online application form for the selection procedure;
- the payment of a registration fee for the selection procedure equal to €50,00 by bank transfer to the bank account IBAN: IT63Y0200805181000106877148, made out to Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, at Unicredit Spa, specifying in the reason "Surname, Name, Health Care Global Risk Management Course";
- the presentation, as a .pdf file of your Curriculum Vitae Studiorum and Professional, duly dated, signed and complete with the authorization to use personal data for the purposes of the selection procedure pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679;
- presentation in .pdf format of self-certification of possession of the qualification, pursuant to Articles 46 and 47 of Presidential Decree 445/2000;
- the presentation, as a .pdf file of a valid identification document.

Attendance fee
The registration fee is equal to € 1.400,00 to be paid in two installments:
- €900,00 upon enrollment (4 October 2024)
- €500,00 by 30 November 2024
There is also the possibility of enrollment with a reduced fee of € 1.100,00 (instead of € 1.400,00) in favor of the following categories:

Title awarded
Participants who complete the course and are in compliance with the administrative obligations will be awarded the title of Postgraduate in "Health Care Global Risk Management - Clinical Risk Management and Patient Safety".
