L'Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma (UCBM) increases its international vocation and expands its prestigious collaborations thanks to the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of California, Berkeley (UCB), the first public university in the world and among the most prestigious universities globally (according to the ranking drawn up by THE - Times Higher Education). 

The agreement, promoted and led by Alessandra Lanzara, physics professor at UCBof Berkeley, California andAdjunct Professorat UCBM, consolidates a path of collaboration started during the visit to Berkeley in November 2024. The Memorandum was signed together with Lisa Alvarez-Cohen, Vice Provost for Academic Planning & Senior International Officer of the US university. 

The agreement provides for the implementation of joint research initiatives in various fields, including life sciences, artificial intelligence, bioengineering, advanced materials and roboticsThanks to this agreement, it will also be possible to structure training and academic exchange programs, with the aim of creating a lasting bridge between Rome and California in the name of research and innovation.
