L'UCBM joins the universities of all Europe to remember the dead of Garissa
25 April 2015 - On Monday 27 April, at 12, the 800 universities from all over the continent - from Moscow to Lisbon - will observe a minute's silence. Also 'Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma will participate in the initiative of the European University Association (EUA) to remember i 147 students killed and 79 injured during the April 2 terrorist attack on the Garissa site of University College in Kenya.
"I think it's right and proper - states the Rector Andrea Onetti Muda - also to reiterate on the part of our University how tolerance, freedom of thought and expression and civil coexistence are founding and indispensable values for the person, society and the entire world. The pursuit of knowledge has no borders and universities transcend geographical and political borders. In line with these principles, theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma joins the EUA and CRUI's call to firmly condemn all forms of violence and intolerance".
