Correct and complete information

In order to always give correct and complete information, following the article "Doctors in training but without a department" which appeared on 12 November 2018 in Corriere della Sera and taken up by TV LA7, signed by journalists Milena Gabanelli and Simona Ravizza, theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma reports that:

All graduate schools of the Departmental Faculty of Medicine and Surgery ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma they are structures duly authorized by the Ministry of Education, University and Research and accredited pursuant to DI 402/17;

Students obtain a complete education that meets the requirements established by law during the period envisaged by their study plan;

All the students of the specialization schools of the Campus Bio-Medico University attend the specialist departments established by law for the respective training cycles, suitably followed in their professional development path: at headquarters and in the organized training network thanks to existing agreements with health facilities of the territory of Rome and its surroundings and often with periods in specialized national and international structures.

Conventions active today

To date, in particular, the agreements are active with:

  • DEA of the Hospital of S. Spirito in Sassia (specialists of all schools with Emergency Department requirement)
  • Unit of General and Emergency Surgery of Policlinico Casilino for general surgery
  • UOC of Obstetrics and Gynecology dell'Fatebenefratelli Hospital on the Tiber Island for Gynecology and Obstetrics
  • It was also completed with the ASL Roma 6 the five-year agreement for the establishment of a university-run UOS of Obstetric Pathophysiology, at the De Santis Hospital in Genzano, which will soon be integrated into the New Ospedale dei Castelli, which will soon open.

There are four agreements with structures that have the 118 system for students of the school of Anesthesia, Intensive Care, Intensive Care and Pain:

  • Hospital St Giovanni Sorrows of Rome
  • Fatebenefratelli Hospital on the Tiber Island
  • Hospital St Filippo Blacks of Rome
  • Cristo Re-Virginia Bracelli Hospital of Rome SpA

All the agreements stipulated before the entry into force of DI 402/17 and still in force have been adapted, in agreement with the hospital structures involved, to the new standards required by the legislation and in compliance with the principle of exclusivity.

In the schools of specialization in Medicine and Surgery ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma the training is therefore carried out within the regional health network, not only on site, also with the aim of enriching and integrating the training experience. The structuring of the training network for Medicine and Surgery postgraduates represents a precious opportunity for immediate comparison with the healthcare reality of the Region, which allows one to consolidate one's skills and to be able to immediately contribute to the health of citizens.

The Memorandum of Understanding between UCBM and the Lazio Region which envisages the establishment of a first level DEA within the timeframe established by the new legislation on the requirements of Specialization Schools.
