Three seminars to train the nursing professional through theatrical techniques

10 June 2015 - Among the Medical Humanities, the positive impact of the theater experience on the training of the nursing professional is now widely recognized. It promotes greater awareness of the potential and limits of one's body, helps to reflect critically on personal and professional experiences, provides a series of tools that can improve communication, empathy, trust, the relationship with patients, family members and the work team.

For this reason, the Nursing Degree Course, in collaboration with the Theater Laboratory ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, offer I, II and III year students three intensive seminars on theatrical techniques with the aim of acquiring effective relationship and communication skills in the care relationship.

The actress and trainer Francesca Fava will propose to the students various activities aimed at listening to the other, at knowing oneself and one's body in space and in action, at developing trust, together with mixed theatrical exercises (respiratory and vocal training, improvisation, role playing, storytelling, creative reuse of objects, improvisation, mime, clowning, dance, scenic movement).
