FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND BIOTECHNOLOGY: when health rhymes with nutrition and sustainability
Health and well-being are increasingly addressed with a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses nutrition, lifestyle, and environmental and technological sustainability. The Faculty of Sciences and Biotechnology at Campus Bio-Medico University integrates innovative and diverse expertise, including food and nutritional science, chemistry, biology, microbiology, engineering, and food and environmental law, both in teaching and research. The program includes a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition (with a focus on human nutrition and food technology), along with two Master's Degrees in Biosciences for Food, Nutrition, and Health (an evolution of the Human Nutrition program) and in Food Science and Technology and Food Design. These programs train biologists/nutritionists and food technologists capable of addressing the challenges of food and the relationship between nutrition and health.

The Faculty of Engineering of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma UCBM The Faculty promotes an educational model based on scientific and teaching innovation, cross-disciplinary integration, and strong international outreach. Through collaborations with companies, universities, and national and international research centers, it develops innovative projects that combine engineering, life sciences, and advanced technologies. These include joint doctorates with the IMT School of Advanced Studies in Lucca and double degree programs with Berkeley University. Of particular importance to the Faculty is the Digital Engineering Center, which will be inaugurated in September 2026 and will bring together cutting-edge expertise in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital twin simulation for broad-spectrum industrial applications.

The Faculty of Medicine and Surgery offers a wide variety of courses and aims to promote comprehensive training in multiple healthcare fields. Of particular importance for several years now is the Master's Degree in Dentistry, which combines technology and simulation with a strong focus on the person. Additionally, courses in Speech Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences for Healthcare Professions are soon to open, addressing a significant shortage of professionals in these specific fields. Each program is highly integrated, with a strong emphasis on practical training, research, bioethics, and an international approach.
UCBM ACADEMY: the Executive Master in Applied Artificial Intelligence Engineering begins
Today, approximately 30-40% of knowledge workers use AI tools individually, while structured adoption in businesses remains limited. According to Eurostat, in 2024, only 13,5% of European companies with at least 10 employees used AI technologies, up from 8% in 2023. And in Italy, the share is even lower, around 8,2% of companies. The Master's in Applied Artificial Intelligence Engineering UCBM Academy was created to fill this gap, starting from the assumption that AI can generate economic returns up to four times the initial investment. The program has a strong international and global dimension and uses the entire ecosystem of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, addressing topics such as healthcare service optimization, CRM management, service distribution, and reducing operational and back-office costs.
