Thursday 23 November the students of master's degree course in Food Science and Technology and Supply Chain Management they visited the Rome Milk Plant and witnessed the entire production process of drinking milk, from receiving the raw material to packaging. The visit was organized by teacher. Emanuele Marconi, full professor of Food Science and Technology of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, Elisa De Arcangelis e Gianfranco Pannella, teachers respectively of Food Technologies and Food Microbiology. Maurizio Rosi, responsible for the Quality Control of the plant, guided the students in the company addressing the issues concerning the production of fresh pasteurized milk, microfiltered milk and lactose-free milk, also in terms of food safety and environmental sustainability.

The visit to the Centrale del Latte di Roma represents one of the various opportunities that the University offers to its students during the Master's Degree Course. Direct experiences with the agri-food supply chain they are of fundamental importance for the consolidation of the educational path of the graduate in food technologies, as they represent the main actor in the food transformation processes, as well as the guarantor of quality and food safety. Together with the Centrale del latte di Roma, UCBM every year it also offers other training courses such as internships, internships and degree theses.
