"In Africa we realized how small we are compared to the rest of the world. We reflected on our approach to life, our priorities, our goals. We discovered a security we didn't think we had and an even stronger determination to be a doctor. Collaboration and continuity of relationships is essential once you return to Italy. Today, when a difficult case arises, thanks to a telemedicine platform, doctors and nurses from Tanzania send the clinical case to Italy, and receive a few minutes a response. This can change to many patients' medical history".
