Starting from Talents Venture data, experts from the tertiary sector discussed the main challenges that students, professionals and companies are facing in the world of education. Among the major critical issues emerged: the lack of people with adequate skills to carry out a specific profession requested by companies (skills shortage), the misalignment between skills acquired by training bodies and those sought by institutions (skills mismatch), the reduced availability of innovative teaching models and teachers necessary for the most requested skills (learning gap) and the difficulty in engaging and retaining people in study programs and job positions (engagement gap).
