Observe live the production phases previously studied in the classroom

December 11, 2015 - Traveling to Petrignano d'Assisi to visit one of the realities Italian entrepreneurs of excellence in the food sector. On December 9, the students of the second year of the master's degree course in Food Sciences and Human Nutrition, technological direction, were able to explore the headquarters of the Colussi group, accompanied by profs. Emanuele Marconi e Francesco Bruno.

L'company, leader in the sector of baked goods such as biscuits, crackers and rusks, but also of pasta and rice, has shown great availability in accepting the educational proposal of theUCBM.

In particular, after a broad and interesting introduction by Dr. Renzo Santi on the company reality and the role of graduates in the food science sector, the students were able to observe live the various stages of production and processing of some types of products, steps previously covered in the Food Technology course. Exploring the production plants, thanks to the expert guidance of the production manager, was an enriching and stimulating occasion for all the participants.
