The first stop of the 2020 Roadshow atUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma
21 February 2020 - Departing today on Roadshow 2020 of the training course "Empowerment and Leadership of women for industry 4.0", supported by ARTES 4.0, a Center of Competence accredited by the MiSE, with Top Employers Institute and Confindustria Digitale as main strategic partners. A workshop created by Daxo Group for train on Industry 4.0 topics adapted to specific industrial contexts so that they are inclusive and useful to people of all generations and all genders. Industry 4.0 is having a considerable impact on the world of work but unfortunately the data show that women are unable to fully grasp the great opportunity represented by this technological revolution.
Top Employers Institute, the global certification body of HR excellence all over the world with over 1600 certified companies in 119 countries and Confistria Digitale, an industrial representation federation for the promotion of the development of the digital economy, jointly support the project by incentivising companies of its network to select the participants among women with high potential. The involvement of female human capital will make it possible to promote gender equality, an important element in the national and international regulatory context.
UCBM it is the first university to host the itinerant workshop which will visit 10 cities in Italy. "The daily commitment of our University to support companies is allowing us to change the gender balance all together within the production sector - stresses Marcella Trombetta, President of the Master's Degree Course in Chemical Engineering for Sustainable Development and coordinator of the Awareness Node of ARTES4.0@UCBM – highlighting how once exclusively male roles can also be filled, with equivalent professionalism, by different people regardless of gender ”.
The hope is that from this training experience a fruitful collaboration can develop on innovation 4.0 projects that primarily involve women, involving more resources and bringing the world of research closer to that of companies in an easy and natural way.
